Lauryn has been one of my favorite singers of all time. This Album was the soundtrack to my highschool years. To this day, whenever I hear this album, I am taken back to a time of trying to navigate difficult relationships as a teen/young adult. There’s that little reminder that you and I decide what to make of ourselves today. We don’t have to be defined by our past, our failures or successes. We can choose to start over, to go a different way, to not live up to other people’s expectations of us.
